Dr. J. S. Mulvey (pictured above) was born in Bethany, Wyoming County, N. Y., Dec. 25th, 1858. In 1867 his parents moved to Sheboygan county, Wisconsin, where they lived about sixteen years, during which time J. S. attended school in Sheboygan County. He also attended the Plymouth high school and the State Normal at Oshkosh. He was principal of the Hingham school one year, during which time he commenced the study of medicine. The following year he took a course in the Chicago Medical College. During the years 1882-83 he attended the Medical Department of the University of the city of New York, graduating in March, 1883. He then came to Clark County and located at Loyal, where he practiced four years, then moved to Neillsville, where he has since practiced. The Dr. stands high in his profession and has established a large practice.
